Sharks Among Teams Talking With Wilson

Ron Wilson, whose contract was not renewed last week by the Mighty Ducks, has interviewed with San Jose General Manager Dean Lombardi for the Sharks’ vacant coaching job and is expected to meet soon with representatives from Pittsburgh and Washington.
Wilson, the only coach in the Ducks’ four-season history, also has a second interview scheduled with Phoenix Coyote General Manager Bobby Smith. They also met Saturday in Southern California.
Smith fired Don Hay after one season. Hay ranks high on Duck General Manager Jack Ferreira’s list of potential candidates to replace Wilson.
