NINE HEROES FROM REAL LIFE

It was a delight to read about those nine extraordinary people--real heroes (“Nine Lives,’ by Robin Wright, June 29). In a world filled with so much greed and thirst for power, it is reassuring to know there are people doing good as an end in itself. They are the ones who should get more exposure, as opposed to, say, some of our overpaid athletes, who often have trouble distinguishing between morality and immorality.
