1 Killed, 2 Hurt When Crime Sting Goes Awry

NEW YORK — A shootout in the parking lot of a McDonald’s restaurant left a U.S. Customs agent injured, one crime suspect dead and another wounded, officials said.
Investigators described the Wednesday evening firefight between two undercover federal agents and suspected drug dealers on Manhattan’s West Side as a sting operation gone bad.
Federal agents stationed nearby rushed in, arresting two other suspects.
