A Los Angeles firm announced Wednesday that it has purchased the Golden Cove Shopping Center in Rancho Palos Verdes for $3 million.
Business has dropped off at the shopping center since a Vons grocery store left in 1994. Jade Enterprises bought the property from San Francisco-based Meridien Industrial Trust Inc.
The shopping center on Palos Verdes Drive West overlooks the ocean near the former site of Marineland. The complex will get a major face-lift, said Tim Marshall, president of the Torrance property management company that will run the center.
