Information Sought on Check Forgers

Port Hueneme police investigators are looking for individuals passing forged checks in the city.
The checks, made out in the name of Oxnard Auto Sales, a now-defunct business, have been passed at supermarkets, investigators said.
The forgers have been posing as Oxnard Auto Sales employees. The store has been out of business for six months and its bank account is closed.
Investigators are encouraging anyone with information on any of the wanted men to call Ventura County Crime Stoppers’ hotline at 385-TALK.
Tipsters can call anonymously and, if the information leads to an arrest and conviction, they could receive rewards of up to $1,000, officials said.
