Free Tennis Clinic Offered for Children

The San Fernando Recreation and Community Services Department will offer a free tennis clinic for children Saturday at Las Palmas Park.
Children ages 5 to 17 will have the opportunity to learn basic tennis techniques, including forehand, backhand, volley, serve, footwork and other drills by instructors from the Neighborhood Junior Tennis Program, which will also provide equipment.
In addition, instructors will be recruiting players for the junior tennis program, which begins Monday at the park and costs $25 a month; scholarships are available.
Saturday’s free clinic runs from 10 a.m. to noon at the park, 505 S. Huntington St.
