San Marcos 28 Ventura 14--The Royals (5-3-1, 4-1-1) intercepted four passes and recovered two Ventura fumbles in the first half, leading to 14 points at Ventura.
Ventura quarterback Mike Anderson completed eight of 16 passes for 101 yards. Anderson had 159 yards and a touchdown in 29 carries. The Cougars fell to 2-7, 0-4.
