Wahlco Environmental Systems Inc.: The Santa Ana air pollution control and power systems maker reported a third quarter loss of $1.5 million, of 8 cents a share, compared with a year-earlier a loss of $1.4 million, or 8 cents a share. Sales rose 18% to $10.8 million from $9.1 million. For the first nine months, Wahlco lost $2.4 million, or 14 cents a share, compared to a loss of $6.3 million, or 36 cents a share, in the first nine months of 1996. Revenue totaled $37.5 million, up 15% from $32.6 million. The company said an internal reorganization has helped cut administrative costs over the past year.
