Margarethe Cammermeyer, who successfully fought the National Guard’s attempts to discharge her for being a lesbian, plans to run for Congress. Cammermeyer, who recently retired from the Washington Army National Guard as a colonel, said she will seek the seat held by two-term Republican Rep. Jack Metcalf.
