Darrell Durham scored on a five-yard run in overtime to give Glendale College a 28-21 victory over Pierce in a Western State Conference football game Saturday night in Woodland Hills.
The Brahmas (0-9, 0-4 in conference play), who have lost 27 consecutive games, had a chance to tie it on their overtime possession, but quarterback Dan McMullen was tackled for a loss on fourth-and-inches at the Glendale four-yard line.
Durham rushed for 216 yards and three touchdowns in 39 carries, while Chris Cervatnes completed 12 of 22 passes for 163 yards for Glendale (2-7, 2-2).
It appeared Pierce might win in regulation when Shaun Griffin scored on a two-yard run with 1:13 left to give the Brahmas a 21-14 lead.
But Glendale drove 65 yards in eight plays, tying the game on a 15-yard pass from Cervantes to Ryan Brouche’t with three seconds left.
McMullen completed 22 of 40 passes for 217 yards, including a 15-yard scoring pass to Vaughn Corley in the fourth quarter, which brought the Brahmas to within 14-13. McMullen scored on a one-yard run in the first quarter.
Griffin gained 104 yards in 23 carries.
