Paul N. Kaiser, a 22-year Ventura County resident and retired design engineer, died Friday after a brief illness. He was 82.
Kaiser was born in Lone Pine in 1915. Before moving to Oak View in 1975, he lived in Ohio and worked as a design engineer for the Hamilton Welding Co. for 25 years.
In addition to his work, Kaiser enjoyed building pontoon boats, gardening, fishing and watching hummingbirds, family members said.
He is survived by his wife, Goldie V. Kaiser; a son, David F. Sanchez; three daughters, Shirley L. Wagner, Joan M. Morris and Karen J. Harrington; and 10 grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Chapel by the Pines in Oak View. Arrangements are under the direction of Pierce Brothers Stetler Mortuary in Santa Paula.
