Senior Citizens to Get Help Fighting Crime

U.S. Rep. Elton Gallegly (R-Simi Valley) will host a seminar Wednesday focusing on ways senior citizens can protect themselves from crime.
Officials from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, the district attorney’s office and the FBI will be on hand Wednesday to discuss tactics criminals have been using to target senior citizens.
The seminar will focus on a broad range of issues, from theft to telemarketing fraud.
The session will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the Camarillo Community Center auditorium, 1605 E. Burnley St. To attend, call Gallegly’s office at 485-2300.
