Twenty-five Garden Grove Unified School District campuses will receive $125,000 in grants from the California Public School Library Protection Fund.
About $5,000 will be given to 24 of the schools, with Louis Lake Continuation High School receiving nearly $10,000 to establish a library, including a computerized reference center.
Many school administrators plan to use the funds for books, periodicals, computer software and CD-ROMs.
The fund allocates money from taxpayers who donate through line 55 on state income tax forms. The grants are earmarked for library expenditures by public schools.
