OXNARD — A 35-year-old Oxnard man remained in serious condition Monday recovering from two bullet wounds he received over the weekend.
Frank De La Torre was shot twice about 5 a.m. Sunday in his home on the 1100 block of South G Street, an Oxnard police spokesman said Monday.
Witnesses described the shooter as a Latino man in his 20s, the spokesman said. The gunman was last seen driving away in a pickup truck eastbound on Wooley Road, he said.
De La Torre was taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard where he remains in the intensive care unit, a hospital spokeswoman said.
De La Torre only recently recovered from another shooting. In February he was struck in the arm by a bullet after being confronted by two young men in the 1900 block of Brookside Avenue, police said.
No one was arrested in that incident, according to authorities.
