LOS ANGELES — Police on Monday announced a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the hit-and-run driver responsible for killing an 11-year-old girl in Koreatown.
Alice Kang was run over the morning of Nov. 9 as she walked across Western Avenue at 9th Street with her mother, said Los Angeles Police Det. Kirk Hunter.
Days after the accident, police found the blue 1988 Hyundai that struck Kang in Newhall. It had been abandoned and burned, Hunter said. The owner of the Hyundai said he loaned the car to a friend on the day of the accident.
Police have a composite drawing of the suspect, described as a 25-year-old Latino with a light complexion and short hair. Police said his name may be Miguel Granados. Anyone with information can call (310) 202-4545.
