City Council to Hear Storm Damage Report

It has become an old story in this seashore city.
At today’s City Council meeting, City Manager Kenneth Frank once again will brief elected officials and the public about how Laguna Beach has withstood the latest round of storms.
Repairs are underway at Main Beach Park, where pilings that support the boardwalk have to be replaced. Also, two sewers overflowed in the next-to-last storm.
But Frank said Monday that public property has suffered less damage than many of the city’s high-priced homes that sit on or near saturated hills.
