Franklin Telecom Applies for Listing on the NASDAQ

Franklin Telecom in Westlake Village has filed an application for listing on the NASDAQ National Market System.
Franklin’s stock is currently traded over the counter as FTEL.
Frank Peters, Franklin’s president and CEO, said the move will allow the company’s stock to get around certain restrictions found in so-called bulletin-board stocks.
“This is particularly pertinent to the many institutions that are prohibited by their charters from dealing in companies not listed on one of the major exchanges,” Peters said.
Company officials expect their application to be processed within eight to 10 weeks.
Franklin Telecom designs and manufactures communications devices, including Internet Telephony products and software. Its subsidiaries, FNet & Internet Passport, provide services using FTEL products.
