Funeral for Dixon Set for Saturday

The funeral service for Dennis Dixon, a former Golden West College football coach, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pacific View Memorial Park in Newport Beach.
Dixon, 50, died Wednesday as a result of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. He was the head coach at Golden West in 1995 and an assistant from 1978 to 1994.
Dixon, who played football at Orange High, Fullerton College and Alabama, is survived by his mother, sister and three children.
