Kriegler’s Hit Trips Canyon

Greg Kriegler hit a bases-loaded triple in a nine-run second inning for North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake in a 9-7 victory over Canyon Country Canyon in a District 20 American Legion baseball game Wednesday at Franklin Field in Encino.
Brett Comden (1-3) allowed nine hits and four earned runs in six-plus innings for North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake (4-13).
In other District 20 games:
Studio City Sylmar 22, Van Nuys Grant 4--Fidelmar Gaimes and Gabriel Montiel each had two hits in a 10-run first inning for Studio City Sylmar in a game called after five innings because of the 10-run rule at Grant High.
Studio City Sylmar (3-10) sent 13 batters to the plate and scored all 10 runs with no out.
North Hollywood 6, Sunland Tujunga Verdugo Hills 5--Raul Castaneda singled home the go-ahead run in the sixth for North Hollywood (7-10) at Verdugo Hills Little League Field.
North Hollywood Poly 12, Panorama City Monroe 5--Salvador Trujillo (2-1) struck out 10 and North Hollywood Poly (13-4) scored 11 runs in the third at Alemany High.
Valley Chatsworth 9, Granada Hills Kennedy 5--Charles Kenny had two hits and three runs batted in for Valley Chatsworth (13-3) in a victory at Chatsworth High.
