HomeBase Inc. said it plans to open three 110,000-square-foot home improvement retail stores in California and one in Phoenix.
The Irvine home improvement retailer said it expects to open stores in Norco, Norwalk and Phoenix in the first half of next year, and a site in Los Angeles later in the year or early in 2000. Separately, HomeBase said it expects to open an Everett, Wash., outlet in October but delayed the opening of a second store in the same city until next year.
HomeBase, which plans to open six additional stores by January 2000, now operates 83 warehouses in 10 Western states.
