Darrell Hussman (Quartz Hill High) is expected to make his professional pitching debut this week.
The Cincinnati Reds’ fourth-round selection out of Arizona, Hussman signed with the club Monday and reported two days later to the Billings Mustangs of the rookie-level Pioneer League.

Pat Bryant (Cleveland High) has struggled with the bat this season at Pawtucket, the triple-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.
Bryant, batting only .217, came through with a huge defensive contribution Wednesday, however.
The left fielder’s diving catch of a fly ball with two out in the eighth inning against Durham helped preserve a no-hitter by 21-year-old Juan Pena, the youngest player in the International League. Pawtucket won the game, 5-0.
