A listing of more than 1,000 California hotels, motels and B&Bs; is available at https://www.clia. org. The Web site was developed by the California Lodging Industry Assn., which represents independently owned lodgings. Executive vice president Anita Kramer said the site provides “worldwide exposure” for hoteliers while the state’s online reservation system remains suspended after protests by travel agents. Most listings are basic, showing phone, address and number of rooms--and no prices--but about 125 are linked to Web sites with photos, detailed descriptions and, in some cases, online booking.
