Crespi Turns Back Early Challenge From Windward

The Crespi High volleyball team dropped a 45-minute first game but rallied in the next three to defeat Windward, 17-19, 15-7, 15-5, 15-9, in a Southern Section Division III quarterfinal Friday night at Windward.
Fourth-seeded Crespi (16-3), co-champion with Loyola of the Mission League, held the lead several times in the first game.
Matt Miller finished with 71 assists and had two service aces to lead the Celts.
James Spratt had 25 kills and 15 blocks, and Marcin Jagoda had 21 kills and four service aces for Crespi.
Patrick Schanes-Gallagher had 23 kills and Brandon Kane had 54 assists for Windward (16-3).
