Litton Changes Name of FiberCom Division

Litton Industries has changed the named of its FiberCom division to Litton Network Access Systems.
Litton Network Access Systems, based in Roanoke, Va., began as a producer of fiber optic data transmission systems primarily for the defense industry, but it has since broadened into providing new communications technologies and networking products for the avionics and defense industries.
Litton Industries, headquartered in Woodland Hills, is a major defense contractor.
