Re “80 Arrested at UCLA Protest of Affirmative Action Ban,” May 20: UCLA Chancellor Albert Carnesale is right on target; Proposition 209 is the law! Passed by the California electorate and upheld by the justice system through the U.S. Supreme Count (which refused to hear it). If these student protesters don’t like UC policy, they are perfectly free to continue their education elsewhere. There is certainly no lack of more qualified students to take their place.
