As I wearily thumbed through the California Voter Information Guide for the June 2 primary election, I wondered if the Legislature, now that it is receiving a healthy raise, will relieve me of the burden of creating laws in California. Perhaps there will now be incentive for them to do their jobs; I thought that that was what they were elected to do.
