Chapman’s football team closes its season 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s, an NCAA Division I-AA school in Moraga. The Panthers (2-6), who lost to La Verne, 13-10, on Oct. 31, had a bye last weekend.

A highlight of Chapman’s season has been the punting of Mario Acosta, who ranks seventh nationally with an average of 40.9 yards.
