Woodbridge’s defense, allowing 10 1/2 points per game, won’t be any easier; five opponents, including the last three, have been held to seven points, three others to 14. Greg Orlando’s scrambling ability can provide a buffer only if he’s not running for his life; his offensive line must perform better if the two-time defending Sea View League and section champions hope to repeat. If Irvine beats Newport Harbor Friday, Santa Margarita can’t win the title.
