Hawaii, Canada Hotels Join AAA Top Roster

AAA last week issued its Five Diamond Award winners--its highest rating for U.S. hotels and restaurants--for 1999. New hotels on the list include the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai on the Big Island of Hawaii, the Kahala Mandarin Oriental in Honolulu and the Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver in British Columbia. Among added restaurants is Jean Georges in the Trump International Hotel & Tower in New York City and Lespinasse in The Carlton hotel in Washington, D.C.
No hotels were dropped from the roster, but one restaurant, the Four Seasons in New York City, fell to four diamonds.
