The City Council will meet tonight to put the finishing touches on its approval of the controversial Bixby Ranch project. Last week, the council gave preliminary approval of the project, which would contain a retail shopping center, a senior citizen facility and expanded golf course in northern Seal Beach. The project is opposed by many neighbors who fear additional traffic. The council meets at 7 p.m., 211 8th St. Information: (562) 431-2527.
