Sun Valley-based Rem Eyewear has assumed production and distribution of Timberland Eyewear, part of the popular line of outdoor gear created by The Timberland Co.
Rem Eyewear has set up a new subsidiary, Adventure Optics, to handle the eye wear line. The license formerly was held by the kindling company, a subsidiary of Gargoyles Inc. Kindling company founders Douglas Lauer and James Sepanek will serve as president and vice president, respectively, of the new organization.
The license acquisition marks Rem Eyewear’s entry into the sunglass market and expands their brand-name portfolio.
