Jeweler at Oaks Mall Changes Store Name

Merksamer Jewelers in The Oaks shopping center in Thousand Oaks has changed its name to Fred Meyer Jewelers.
Fred Meyer, the nation’s fourth-largest jewelry company, changed the store name to be consistent with its policy to gradually put its name on all its mall locations.
“All we are changing is the name,” said store manager Charles Mayrsohn. “We will continue to provide the top-of-the-line jewelry that our customers have come to expect.”
Fred Meyer Jewelers has 383 stores in 26 states, including 280 locations in shopping malls.
