NORWALK — A woman who had just paid $5 to a gas station clerk killed herself early Monday when she pumped the fuel over her body and ignited it, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The incident occurred at 5 a.m. at a Mobil gas station at 11009 Rosecrans Ave. Neither police nor the coroner’s office would release the identity of the woman, saying that it would be days before a final determination could be made.
