ATLANTA — Police on Saturday sought to trace the source of two more handguns found with the body of the gunman who killed his wife, two children and nine other people before committing suicide this week.
Meanwhile, one of the victims, lawyer Dean Delawalla, 52, who immigrated from Pakistan in the early 1970s, was buried in Atlanta in an Islamic ceremony.
Police said Mark Orrin Barton, 44, used two handguns in Thursday’s rampage, which ended when he killed himself in his van surrounded by police, but Atlanta Police Chief Beverly Harvard said two additional guns and 200 bullets were found in the vehicle.
“We found inside a duffel bag that he had two additional weapons, one was a .22-caliber weapon and a .25 semiautomatic weapon,” Harvard said.
Ten people remained hospitalized Saturday after the shootings inside two day-trading brokerages in the business area of the upscale Buckhead district, including a woman who may have been blinded.
