LOS ANGELES — A state Department of Motor Vehicles employee has pleaded no contest to soliciting sex from a woman in exchange for a passing grade on her driving test and to having sex with a minor he met at the DMV office.
In exchange for the plea entered Tuesday, prosecutors will drop 12 other counts against Timothy Rene Lee, 40, a 10-year-employee at the DMV’s West Covina office.
Lee had pleaded innocent in June to several charges including requesting a bribe, unauthorized access to computer data, unlawful sexual intercourse, oral copulation with a person under 18.
Lee will remain free on $50,000 bail pending his sentencing, which is set for Sept. 29.
