Weed whackers and leaf blowers, beware. Councilman Jim Thorpe has begun exploring the city’s noise ordinances. When Laguna Woods became a city five months ago, the council decided to adopt county noise laws, Thorpe said. The ordinances were enacted last July, he said.
But Thorpe said the city should consider creating its own codes in light of its opposition to the county’s plans to construct an airport at El Toro. Thorpe said he will ask council members at next week’s meeting to explore the county’s noise ordinances.
