The City Council recently appointed Mayor Bruce Broadwater to serve as a representative on a transportation committee including city staff from several Orange County cities. Former Councilman Bob Dinsen had been the representative to the Growth Management Area Elected Officials Forum. The panel meets once a year to discuss interjurisdictional transportation issues, priorities and schedules. The next meeting has been set for 4 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Garden Grove Community Center, 11300 Stanford Ave.
