The City Council has approved construction of a 465-unit Silver Oaks senior residential complex next to Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center. The agreement with Cameo Homes of Newport Beach includes compensation to the city for the anticipated increase in the use of paramedic services.
Council members voted to modify the city’s General Plan for the location to allow for carports and more studio and two-bedroom apartments. They also agreed to sell control of an unused irrigation drain on the site to the developer for $15,000.
