LONG BEACH — Police searched Tuesday for a 3-year-old girl who was allegedly abducted by her noncustodial mother and may have been taken to live with relatives in Oregon or Hawaii, police said.
The girl, Stephanie Angel Allen, was reportedly taken from her father’s Magnolia Avenue home between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Monday. The mother, Rena Lynn Halpain, 27, had been staying with the daughter and father for several days, insisting that she was homeless and needed a place to stay.
The father, Kevin Allen, said he had left home that afternoon for a teaching job and returned to find his daughter and Halpain missing. The young girl’s clothing was missing as well, said Long Beach Police Officer David Marander.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Long Beach police at (562) 570-7244.
