High Desert Roughs Up Parker

The High Desert Mavericks scored eight earned runs in the second inning off Brandon Parker in a 13-6 California League victory over Lancaster on Monday night at High Desert.
Parker (4-1), who entered the game with a 1.98 earned-run average, was pulled after 1 2/3 innings.
JetHawk Craig Kuzmic hit home runs from both sides of the plate.

Javier Delahoya (Grant High) has been selected double-A Eastern League pitcher of the week.
The right-hander allowed four hits in eight innings and was 1-0 for Baltimore Oriole affiliate Bowie last week.
Delahoya, who leads the league in victories, improved to 6-1 and has a 3.92 earned-run average.

Former Montclair Prep first baseman Brad Fullmer was sent down to triple-A Ottawa by the Montreal Expos on Sunday.
He was replaced on the roster by Ryan McGuire, formerly of El Camino Real High.
