Chapman’s Ly Out of Tennis Tournament

Chapman junior Chan Ly was eliminated in his quarterfinal match of the NCAA Division III men’s tennis singles championships Tuesday in Claremont.
Ly, who was unseeded, lost to Thomas Oechel of UC Santa Cruz, 6-1, 0-6, 7-6. Oechel defeated Ly last month in the semifinal match at the Ojai tournament.
Oechel advanced to play teammate and doubles partner Brian Cummings in the championship finals at 9 a.m. today.
