Two women were shot and a Los Angeles County sheriff’s special weapons team was called to Baldwin Park late Friday after the suspected gunman barricaded himself in a home.
The condition of the shooting victims was not immediately available. Authorities said one was taken to a hospital and the other remained in the residence with the gunman.
The incident began about 9 p.m. Baldwin Park police responding to a family disturbance call in the 12800 block of Ramona Boulevard discovered one victim outside a condominium complex.
“The suspect fired at Baldwin Park police, then went inside and holed himself up,” Sheriff’s Department Sgt. George Ducoulombier said.
