NORTHRIDGE — A burglary suspect being followed by police Monday night apparently took his own life shortly after driving down a cul-de-sac in a residential neighborhood, police said.
The incident happened near the intersection of Lassen Street and Topeka Drive, said Sgt. Rick Gibby of the Los Angeles Police Department.
“It wasn’t a chase, he was just being followed,” Gibby said.
The name of the dead man was not released.
