The City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to approve the design of the Black Gold Golf clubhouse.
The two-story clubhouse, which is expected to cost $2.5 million, will include a restaurant, pro shop, administrative offices, locker areas and a veranda with a view of the 200-acre championship golf course. Black Gold is located at the base of the Chino foothills, in the middle of a proposed 2,000-unit residential development.
Construction of the clubhouse is expected to begin in April or May, with completion expected by November 2000. The clubhouse and the golf course will be financed through a $21-million tax allocation bond, which is backed by redevelopment funds.
