A human relations club at Los Alamitos High School has been working toward building diversity and tolerance since it formed in 1992.
To raise funds to support its ambitious endeavors, Griffins With a Mission, or GWAM, is hosting the third annual Walk for Funderstanding at the Seal Beach Pier on Oct. 16.
A carnival featuring international booths from each of the schools in the district will follow the walk.
There will also be performances by students representing a variety of cultures, and the Lions Club will host a barbecue lunch.
