* ITT Gilfillan, Van Nuys, won a $6-million contract from the Navy to develop multi-function self-aligned gate technology for communication systems.
* L-3 Communications Ocean Systems, Sylmar, won a $5-million contract from the Navy to improve sonar systems used on aircraft carriers.
* HR Textron Inc., Valencia, won a $87,217 contract from the Defense General Supply Center in Richmond, Va., for aircraft parts.
