3-Year-Old Boy Drowns in Pond

A 3-year-old boy drowned in a fishpond at a home in the 12000 block of Hinton Way in an unincorporated area south of Orange on Saturday afternoon, police said.
The boy was attending a party with adults and other children.
When guests started to leave the party about 4:30 p.m., the boy was noticed to be missing, said Lt. Tom Garner of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The boy, whose name has not been released, died at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana.
