Block Party at New Community Center

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department is celebrating the opening of the Saticoy Community Resource Center with a block party and fiesta Saturday.
Members of the force from the K-9, bomb, mounted and SWAT units will be there, along with a cadre of firetrucks and ambulances.
The newly renovated center is staffed by volunteers and houses programs that include Ventura Adult Education, the Boys & Girls Club and a Sheriff’s Department satellite office.
The free event, which includes food and drink, will be held at Los Angeles Avenue and Violeta Street.
