GIRLS’ TRACK

Grant 86, Canoga Park 41--Alexis Weatherspoon, defending City sprint champion, won four events for the Lancers (4-0, 2-0) in a victory at Grant.

Running into a stiff head wind, Weatherspoon won the 100-meter dash in 12.6 seconds and the 220-yard dash in 24.7. She also won the long jump at 17-6 and the triple jump at 36-7.

VOLLEYBALL

Van Nuys def. Monroe, 7-15, 8-15, 18-16, 15-13, 15-6--Wylie Chung had 22 kills, 17 digs and six aces, and Jason Killeen had 17 kills and 12 blocks to lead visiting Van Nuys (6-3, 4-1) to its first Valley Mission League victory over Monroe in three seasons.

Scott Tay had 69 assists for the Wolves.
