The City Council on Tuesday unanimously approved installation of a disabled persons parking space in the 1700 block of Via Mirada, a residential address. Joe Atchison, owner of the apartment property, requested 22 feet of curb to be designated as disabled persons parking only.
There are numerous disabled persons lots in the city, said Councilman Don Bankhead.
The council usually grants such requests when they are made, he said.
